Kettering Ice Arena, located within the Kettering Recreation Complex, is host to youth and adults involved in figure skating, ice hockey, ice skating lessons and leisure skating.

The arena was constructed in 1973 end enclosed and renovated in 1990 as part of the KRC renovation. The ice surface is 85 feet by 200 feet and oval-shaped to meet national hockey standards. The ice is in place for 10 months of the year, from late August through late May. During the off-season, the arena is used for special events and in-line skating programs.

South Metro Sports is a recreation center that brings Year-Round Ice Skating to the Miami Valley. The facility features a National Hockey League size ice rink, 3 full-length basketball courts and 4 regulation volleyball courts with AAU/NBA approved Sport Court flooring. South Metro Sports offerings prove our philosophy of providing a family friendly atmosphere for kids of all ages. We are currently hosting several local High School, Middle School and Youth hockey, basketball and volleyball programs.
